Landen Farm Lake, commonly known as Landen Lake, is a roughly 60-acre man-made lake located in the Landen community of Warren County, Ohio. Unlike many Ohio lakes, Landen Lake was not created naturally. It was formed by damming Simpson’s Creek as part of a flood-control and drainage project, helping protect the surrounding land from flooding while becoming the centerpiece of the growing Landen community.
Today, the lake is a private community landmark enjoyed by residents for fishing, boating, sightseeing, and enjoying the peaceful scenery. The lake has also undergone significant restoration, including a major dredging project completed in 2008 that removed approximately 184,000 cubic yards of sediment.
What began as a flood-control project has become an important part of Landen’s identity, surrounded by homes, trails, and generations of memories on the water.
